On the opening day, the Kick-off is the official start of the European Music Festival for Young People.  All participants get together in a bubbling Festival-hall (sports hall of the Provinciaal Domein Dommelhof) in a relaxing, chilling and friendly atmosphere. Here we welcome the European Youth in a musical way to a sparkling show.
The Kick-off is intended for participants who already arrived in Neerpelt and for the local audience.

After the Kick-off, everyone joins the parade towards the parking of vclb (Bermstraat, Neerpelt) for the openingfestivities "A Taste of Neerpelt", a popular feast with food, drinks, music, conviviality and an open air spectacle with fireworks.
