EMY entirely relies on the voluntary co-operation of 26 boards-members, 32 committee-members and an odd 600 volunteers. Nine committees are actively involved, one of them being "Catering", supervised by Mrss. Inge Vanderlooy and Marianne Croisiaux.
In order to cater for all participants, members of the jury, and sponsors, taking care of nice breakfasts, hot meals and even culinary delicacies,they were helped by some 350 volunteers, including a number of "Obligato"-members (i.e. former board-members). Most of their work happens backstage in kitchens and temporary restaurants but it is all highly appreciated. And most important, all is well that tastes well. Organizing the food preparation, cooking of meals, packed lunches, breakfeasts went flawless.
"Catering" was responsible for 3000 bread-meals, 1.300 packed lunches, 1.200 packed breakfasts, 5.500 warm meals at the Atheneum and 675 warm meals at the College.
It took 101 kg of ham, 92 kg of cheese,19 kg of salami, 588 loafs of bread, 8.000 cups of butter, 31 kg of butter spread and 1.250 liters of milk to be served to our guests.
