Diamand

The European Music Festival for Young People as a "perpetuum mobile"? Absolutely because of the festival's enthusiast organizing committee, every year succeeding in creating something new. Also the European Youth enthusiastically welcomes new cultures, makes music together, fraternizes in an atmosphere of musical joy and friendship.

The festival spot spread during all those years over Europe and even beyond. The number of participating countries grew from 3 or 4 to over 20 in 2011. As spectacular was the growth of the number of participating ensembles: in 1959 15 ensembles registered, in 1962 78 and previous years we welcomed about 100 ensembles.

The 2012 Festival will be a festive and spectacular edition due to its diamond anniversary. It'll be a choral festival and organized from Friday 27 April until Wednesday 2 May 2012. For this vocal edition choirs can register in one of following categories:

  • - children's choirs
  • - equal voice youth choirs
  • - mixed voice youth choirs
  • - pennant children's choirs
  • - pennant equal voice youth choirs
  • - pennant mixed voice youth choirs
  • - free category: vocal and vocal-instrumental ensembles such as close harmony, vocal jazz, folk music, gospel & spiritual

Conductors, young musicians and choir members are every year enthusiast about the way how good the Festival has been organized, about the kind reception and pleasant and unforgettable festival moments. All festival information and our registration terms can be consulted on this website.
