A participation is possible in following categories:
Category A: children's choirs
Conditions:
- a varied programme with a maximum of 12 minutes (*)
- the choir has minimum 12 singers
- the maximum age of the participants is 14 years (**)
Following programme conditions have to be considered:
- 1 traditional folk song from your own country, unisono and a capella
- at least 2 choral works
- compulsory song (***)
(*) The compulsory song is NOT included in this time limit
(**) In the category A the age limit may be exceeded with a maximum of 7 % of the participants and only for those born in January, February, March or April 1997 (they already became 15 in 2012.)
Category B: single-voice youth choirs
Conditions:
- a varied programme with a maximum of 12 minutes (*)
- the choir has minimum 12 singers
- the maximum age of the participants is 25 years
Following programme conditions have to be considered:
- 1 traditional folk song from your own country, unisono and a capella
- at least 2 choral works
- compulsory song
(*) The compulsory song is NOT included in this time limit.
Category C: mixed-voice youth choirs
Conditions:
- a varied programme with a maximum of 12 minutes (*)
- the choir has minimum 12 singers
- the maximum age of the participants is 25 years
Following programme conditions have to be considered:
- 1 traditional folk song from your own country, unisono and a capella
- at least 2 choral works
- compulsory song

Category D: pennant series children's choirs
To qualify for the pennant series the choirs must have gained a remarkable result at an international festival or at least be able to show a thorough artistis experience. the definite allotment of the category will be done by the organizing committee itself.
Conditions:
- a varied programme with a maximum of 18 minutes (*)
- the choir has minimum 12 singers
- the maximum age of the participants is 14 years (**)
Following programme conditions have to be considered:
- 1 traditional folk song from your own country, unisono and a capella
- 1 compostion from the Renaissance or Romantic period
- 1 contemporary work by a composer from your own country
- compulsory song
- possibly completed with other choral works

- free choice of repertoire (close harmony, vocal jazz, gospel & spiritual and mixed vocal-instrumental ensembles,...)
